Curtin Agricultural Consultants Ltd was set up on October 1996. A strong feature of the agricultural consultancy company is the wide range of consultancy services and expertise it provides to its clients. Dairy, beef, sheep, tillage and pig farmer clients are advised on issues such as on-farm production, financial advice, farm yard design, GLAS, TAMS and other Department of Agriculture, Food & The Marine (DAFM) Schemes. Clients such as Transport Infrastructure Ireland, Gas Networks Ireland, Irish Water and various Local Authorities and Legal Firms have been advised on Environmental and Financial Impacts on farms due to infrastructural developments. The company has carried out Agronomy Assessments on over 400 hectares of Solar Farm projects, 450 km of road projects and 140km of Overhead Line projects. The company has given evidence at 12 public hearings for infrastructural projects.
Con Curtin (B.Agric.Sc) has over 30 years of experience as an agricultural consultant, having worked with ADAS in the UK from 1987 - 1990 and then returning to Ireland to work with FBA Ltd and IAS Ltd before setting up Curtin Agricultural Consultants Ltd in 1996. He has an honours degree in Agricultural Science from University College Dublin and a Level 6 Certificate in Land Drainage. He is a member of the Agricultural Consultants Association and Agricultural Science Association. He is an approved advisor in the DAFM Farm Advisory Service (FAS). Con provides a wide range of agricultural consultancy experience to farming, public sector and engineering clients. Con is proficient in Microsoft Office, ArcMap and AutoCAD.
